Information for Candidates


  • At Large Board Member Seat  (must be at least 16 years of age to apply)

To apply as a candidate for the vacant board seat you must be a stakeholder within the boundaries of the Harbor City Neighborhood Council.  See map here.

Definition of a stakeholder:  “Stakeholders” shall be defined as those who live, work or own real property in the neighborhood and also to those who declare a stake in the neighborhood as a community interest stakeholder, defined as a person who affirms a substantial and ongoing participation within the Neighborhood Council’s boundaries and who may be in a community organization such as, but not limited to, educational, non-profit and/or religious organizations.

Fill out the Candidate Application and submit a short Candidate Statement telling us why you are interested in becoming a member of the Harbor City Neighborhood Council Board.  Please include any previous experience you might have with your Neighborhood Council. (Example:  You have attended meetings, you have been on a committee in the past, etc).
